Came here for the afternoon tea experience. It was wonderful, well priced, great service, amazing for the festive period and we would return again! We travelled from Ayrshire to try this and it didn’t disappoint!

An exquisite location in Callander! Eric and Marion showed us 10 star service. The hotel is captured in time, the history of Roman Camp is interesting and seen throughout! The gardens are immaculate and span across acres. A highlight was the food and service! You just don't see hospitality like this anymore. I can imagine having a wedding here, it would be the perfect location. I would return in a heartbeat to Roman Camp!

Roman Camp Hotel was where I stayed the night before my wedding. It was a nice hotel with fires in the lounges and reception and my room was large with a comfortable bed. I had breakfast delivered to my room and it was good (though my knife appeared to have been lost). Room was spacious and I had a side door next to my room for quicker exit than through reception. However, rooms were in need of an update, some lighting not working, some very dated decor, and bathroom had a very worn spa bath in it. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful.

Decided to try this hotel for the Callander Blues and jazz festival the rooms do not live up to the reputation and price, broken bathroom tiles inadequate windows no blind on the bathroom window and generally tired won't be back

Our daughter and son-in-law recently held their wedding here. The hotel was beautiful and perfect for their day. We stayed for the weekend and every meal was excellent. The entire staff went out of their way to make this an extra special memory for us all. I would like to thank every one of you and highly recommend.

Words are not enough to explain how great our wedding weekend at Roman Camp Hotel has been! From the start the communication with the wedding planner Victoria was excellent, she realised all our wishes and, despite planning the wedding from another country, everything was exactly the way we imagined it and even better. She gave us great recommendations for suppliers who did an awesome job. We booked all the rooms for our guests who were mesmerized by this beautiful place and the amazing staff. We had an informal pre-wedding dinner on Friday in the library and bar area which was very relaxing and a great start. On the day itself we had beautiful weather and a lovely ceremony at the riverside, the drinks reception was in front of the hotel and the dinner in the drawing room, where we also had our ceilidh and party afterwards. The owners Eric and Marion were so accommodating and helpful during the day and beforehand. And of course the exceptional food must be mentioned, all our guests loved every meal and all dietary requirements were met without any problems. We had a few toddlers and Babys at the wedding, Victoria made sure that high chairs, childrens' menus etc were organised. The parents had a great experience as well. We could go on endlessly about how great the hotel and people who work there are! We will definitely come back in the upcoming years to stay at Roman Camp Hotel, it was unforgettable.

We were in for a 3 course lunch excellent food and service. I found it difficult to book as the phone was never answered. However it was worth the effort to get booked. As stated already the food was great and service as well once booked and in. A very limited menu which I can understand as it wasn’t very busy. It can be improved on with a larger choice.

Fantastic Sunday lunch yet again, everything was spot on. Service impeccable, friendly, informative but not over intrusive. Food glorious, thoroughly enjoyed every course from canapés to coffee and petit fours. Good value for the quality, would highly recommend

Our group of 9 including a 15 month old had a wonderful lunch here. Food was superb and the sevice excellent. The lounges for pre lunch drinks and coffee afterwards are very comfortable and welcoming. An excellent find!

Such a lovely hotel to stay at our first night in Scotland! The location is great for visiting the Doune Castle, Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. The price is great especially considering it’s such a charming, historic hotel. Reception was warm and welcoming upon our arrival. We walked the grounds the next morning and they are beautifully groomed. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay!

Simply excellent!! A wonderful, traditional, up-market hotel. The rooms are very comfortable. The lounge areas are sumptuous in a traditional Scottish way. There are open fires in several places. For visitors from the USA and Canada, where else could you stay in a house built in 1625, without breaking the bank? The hotel is set in extensive private grounds with long Riverside walks, wooded areas, and a huge walled garden. They even have salmon fishing rights for that stretch of the River Teith. (Other big hotels will often charge £000s for this.) Unless you're looking for Alton Towers or a modern plastic hotel, you will not be disappointed.

The whole place is absolutely stunning and set in such a beautiful area, surprisingly close to the river too! We had both dinner and breakfast there and it was a real proper dining experience. The dinner wasn't cheap but the quality was up there with michelin star. I think it was supposed to be a 4 course meal but they gave us 2 surprise courses in the middle. Absolutely top class! Our breakfast was run by a wonderful lady from South Africa who was very attentive and lovely to chat to. An excellent representative of the quality staff at this establishment. The lounge areas were exactly what we were hoping for. Similar to the National Trust estates that we often visit. They had the fires going and we relaxed in the drawing rooms while having a few drinks. This is essentially what we came here for and it was an unforgettable experience. All the furniture has an authentic old feeling too. Exactly what we wanted. Thanks! Side note, there is no at hotel ev charging.

Had the pleasure of working a summer wedding from ceremony through to evening reception. Amazing location for outdoor ceremonies by the water and drinks reception on the lawn before the evening reception inside. Friendly staff and stunning location!

A beautiful setting for afternoon tea with the family! Having a room to ourselves definitely helped with entertaining the 3 year old. No shortage of food and the tea flowed freely.
